The Gun Game

"fun game...but just fun for a bit"

submission: The Gun Game
date: October 23, 2009

The offense mode was the easier part of the game TBH. I like how you had to actually avoid all the falling bullets. Made it at least somewhat decent in difficulty.

Automatic Dude

"I laughed, I cried, I sat rapt with attention..."

submission: Automatic Dude

Emotionally captivating and spiritually enthralling. The blubber motion makes a screen unlike anything I've seen since Antonio Banderas starred in that one famous movie too long ago.

The epic struggle between good and evil has never been so well presented. The coke (symbolizing the devil) struggles within the grasp of a being so well poised to continue walking along a 2-dimensional path that it seems the true battle may well only exist within out own minds. Then the flash reminds us via the ever-so subtle passing background tree that we too are intrinsically frail and could never hope to rise above the mundaneness of a sun with a smiley face and it's tongue hanging out unless we have the power of the sidewalk to assist us in our journey.

I had to dock 2 points off the overall score due to the fact that the cola drink had a straw in it while obviously being a red can container, which would naturally not require a straw. Also, the tiny umbrella was frumpy. But on the whole I think you showed an extraordinary amount of potential. The music worked well to support the animation in general.

it took like 5 years of the fine art of movie-studies at the university to get where i am today. his flash shows off everything i've learned, and a little more... i'm glad you could notice most of what i tried to communicate with this artwork. god bless you!

3rd Grade Transformers

"Don't get me wrong, it's very good"

date: October 20, 2009

It is. It's just - after being spoiled by gems like the awesome the hedgehog (short but so effective) and under the awesome there is a certain expectation I have for these ones.

Maybe it's unfair to expect every cartoon to cause me to cry with laughter the first dozen times that I see it - but darn it, that's a good feeling when that's the case.

The general idea is still great regardless, and it's always fun to see the animation and ideas going around in your flashes. It just doesn't appear that some of the recent ones have the pure intensity of absurdity that made many of the older ones so classic in my mind. It could be that I simply got jaded from so many other good ones you've made.

Freakin' seal of approval on this sucka' if I ever felt to do such a thing. Brilliant. So downloading this and it's almost completely unheard of for me to do that.

This is a piece of work man. Kick-awesome. Just awesome. No advice that I could give here. Too busy enjoying it honestly.

Time (bring it on)

"obviously fantastic"

submission: Time (bring it on)
date: November 10, 2009

The real question...is why is voicemale on, NG...?? Of all places. Seems odd, the group has a huge presence in the mormon community anyway and their cd's can be found everywhere in LDS bookstores...etc.

Anyway - I can't help but wonder if this is just for publicity - because (obviously) it trounces the median level of production to be found here normally. It doesn't really compute in a sense. Of course good work anyway. Fantastic as many of the previous works are. I have a good deal of your guys' cds, each new one is better than the last. It's clear you've been honing skill over the years.

HA! i think you've got us totally confused with someone else. we're voicemale from brandeis university, a bunch of nerdy jewish college guys, definitely not mormon. But I'm glad you like!

She_Remix [Box-Killa]

"quite enjoyable"

date: November 3, 2009

Excellent little remix...tons of energy, well done drums (with some great spatial effects @ 1:20). There were parts that seems a tad disjointed. But it was still fun.

The beginning was definitely the most aptly engineered portion.
